Starting the Journey Inward

Therapy for Anxious People-Pleasers
If you find yourself constantly worrying about how others feel, saying “yes” when you want to say “no,” or feeling responsible for everyone else’s emotions, you’re not alone. These patterns often come from anxiety—and they can leave you feeling exhausted, resentful, and unsure of who you really are beneath the people-pleasing.
Anxiety can show up as over-functioning in relationships, hyper-attunement to others’ moods, or guilt any time you try to set a boundary. You might even feel like your worth is tied to how helpful or agreeable you are. The truth is, this isn’t your fault—and it doesn’t have to be your future.
Through somatic therapy and a compassionate, trauma-informed approach, I help clients reconnect with their own needs, values, and sense of safety. Together, we’ll work to:
Understand the roots of your people-pleasing patterns
Build confidence in setting and holding healthy boundaries
Develop tools to regulate anxiety and reconnect with your body’s signals
Create space for your voice, your needs, and your well-being
You don’t have to keep carrying the weight of everyone else’s expectations. It’s okay to take up space. It’s okay to protect your energy. And it’s absolutely okay to ask for support.
Providing you with a safe space to explore the issues closest to your heart
Individual therapy offers a supportive and nonjudgmental space to explore your inner world, process your past, and reconnect with what you truly want for your life.
Are you ready to begin healing old wounds? Curious about why certain things trigger you—or how to break free from patterns that no longer serve you? Do you want to show up more fully and authentically in your relationships?
You don’t have to navigate this alone. I'm here to walk alongside you as you take meaningful steps toward becoming the version of yourself you’re ready to grow into.

About Me
I’m a somatic therapist, artist, and dancer who’s learned firsthand how to live with anxiety instead of constantly fighting it. Along the way, I’ve found comfort and healing in movement, creativity, and nervous system regulation—and I love helping others do the same. When I’m not in session, you can usually find me doing some kind of physical practice (lately bike riding and strength training), deep into a good book, working in my art studio, or cooking. My approach to therapy is warm and collaborative, with a healthy dose of wit and humor sprinkled in.
-
I can offer a fuller picture of who I am by sharing what I’ve studied and the experiences that brought me to this work. I earned my master’s in somatic psychotherapy at the California Institute of Integral Studies after years of working with doctors, physical therapists, and talk therapists to address body-related challenges that deeply affected my life. What I longed for then—and now offer in my work—was someone who could hold how physical, emotional, and mental experiences are interconnected.
Before that, I studied Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Mills College, which continues to shape the lens I bring to therapy. As a queer-identified person with lived experience in kink and polyamory, I’m passionate about supporting clients whose identities fall outside the cultural mainstream. And truly, I believe we are all affected by societal expectations around gender and sexuality.
My minor in studio arts and my own journey toward claiming an artistic identity are also central to who I am as a therapist. Art remains one of my most meaningful processing tools, and I love supporting clients in reconnecting with their creativity or using art therapeutically in session.
All of these threads inform how I show up today. If you feel I may be a good fit for your next chapter, I’d be glad to connect.
FAQs
-
My standard rate is $225 for 50 minute sessions, $335 for 75 minute sessions.
For those who are unable to afford my full fee on a consistent weekly basis, I do have the ability to offer sliding scale. In our initial phone consultation, we will determine a rate based on your financial situation that will be sustainable for you on a weekly basis. If you think you will need a sliding scale slot, please have an idea of your budget for weekly therapy before our consultation. If I cannot accommodate your budget, I will help direct you to appropriate referrals who can meet with you at your needed rate.

I accept Aetna, Anthem EAP, Blue Shield, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, and Quest Behavioral Health through Headway.
For those with insurances I do not take, I can provide a superbill for reimbursement. You can find out if your insurance covers out-of-network therapy expenses by calling the phone number on the back of your insurance card. If you plan to use insurance to reimburse your therapy expenses, I ask that you agree to meet at my full fee. -
I ask clients to commit to a weekly time. Consistent weekly therapy is crucial to being able to see any significant progress.
I see clients Monday-Thursday 8am-3pm. Please inquire for current availability.

I offer therapy exclusively online to those in the state of California.
Remote telehealth therapy has been shown to be as effective as in-person therapy. Telehealth is a good fit for people who are not able to commute to a therapy office and would rather have their therapy appointment from the comfort of their own home. It is important that you have access to a private space for your therapy, a device with a camera, and a reliable internet connection.
-
It depends. Telehealth offers great flexibility for those who travel. However, given the rules and regulations governing my license, I can only work with clients while they are physically located in California. So, if you travel out of California, I will be unable to meet with you until you return to California.
-
Anything you tell me I will keep confidential. There are a few exceptions to this, in instances of mandated reporting, including threat to yourself, others, children or elders.
-
I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Any session cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be charged the full session amount. If scheduling allows, I am happy to find a time to reschedule the session.

I work with all kinds of issues. The best way to find out if I can help support what you are struggling with is to reach out and schedule a phone consultation. If I don’t think I am the right therapist to support your needs, I will help find you appropriate referrals for other therapists who may be a better fit.
